The Twyford and Ruscombe Local History Society was founded during 1977 to encourage Local History Research and interest in the history of Twyford and Ruscombe. It is affiliated to the Berkshire Local History Association (BLHA) which was founded in 1976.

Members pay an annual subscription of £18 for a single member or £23 for a couple. Meetings are held at The Piggott School, Wargrave at 8pm on the second Monday of the month as notified in the programme. The Society produces a biannual Journal which is supplied free to members.

The Society organizes visits to places of interest to members. It also occasionally publishes monographs on subjects of interest to members.

Visitors are always welcome to attend meetings for whom admission is £3.
